SMOKERS

Banning smoking in offices and other public places is becoming the global norm, and this has resulted in the streets being one of the few places where smoking is permitted. One unfortunate side effect of the ban on indoor smoking is the increase in cigarette litter on the streets and outside office buildings.

In Tokyo, there are already specific areas where smoking bans have been implemented to curb cigarette litter in the streets. Unless smokers take responsibility for keeping cigarette litter off the streets then it is highly likely that a case will be made for outdoor smoking bans to be introduced in other countries.

Using a BUTTsOUT® Ashtray is your opportunity to take preventative measures, promote the solution don't be a contributor to the problem.

NON-SMOKERS

Cigarette butts are the number one street litter problem . No matter which town or country you live in, cigarette litter accounts for at least 30% of the litter found on streets, with many countries claiming that surveys put the figure at around 50%.

Cigarette Litter is a problem for the whole community, and non-smokers have an important role in helping smokers recognise the environmental impact and modify their behaviours

·      Giving a smoker a BUTTsOUT® Ashtray as a present increases the intrinsic value significantly

  • Keeping a supply of BUTTsOUT® Ashtrays in your home, for smokers to use when they visit, is a powerful way of getting across the message that cigarette litter is unacceptable and unnecessary.
